I'm a Report For America corps member and reporter at Voice of San Diego covering city hall and city departments.
Prior to joining Voice, I was a journalist based in Mexico and the U.S.
I produced multimedia stories on immigration, culture, climate, and more. My work has been featured in publications like The Associated Press, Los Angeles Times, and Prism Reports.
I've worked as a Spanish language translator and field reporter for The New York Times, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and SBS Australia. I've also worked as a stringer and researcher for The Washington Post.
I received my Master's from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY with a double concentration in international and bilingual reporting. I was a finalist for the Ñ Awards for NAHJ in 2024 and a recipient of the Silurians Press Club Award in 2023. I hold a B.A. in Sociology from Occidental College.
